1. Data Collection and Storage

No Proprietary Servers: Fisherman's Memories does not use proprietary or third-party server infrastructures to collect, process, or analyze the generated data. All information (catches, technical details, equipment) is saved exclusively within the local memory of the user's device.

iCloud Synchronization: If the user has enabled iCloud services on their device, the application uses the private database (CloudKit) to synchronize information across devices associated with the same Apple ID. The development team has no access whatsoever to this archive. The security, integrity, and encryption of the data are fully guaranteed and managed by Apple's native infrastructure and security protocols.

2. Location Data (Geolocation)

The application uses geolocation services to allow accurate recording of catch locations, map visualization, and location-based notifications. Such data is processed in strict compliance with user privacy according to the following principles:

• In-use and Background Access: Location authorization is requested for active app usage and, subject to the user's explicit consent, in the background for proximity alerts (geofencing).
• Georeferenced Notifications: Background location monitoring is solely for triggering local push notifications (e.g., when the user approaches a saved fishing spot). The processing of such coordinates occurs entirely locally on the device: the application does not record a location history and does not transmit tracking data to remote servers.
• Absolute Privacy: The geographic coordinates of saved locations remain strictly confined to the user's device and their respective iCloud account. Such data is in no way shared with third parties, nor transmitted to other users or public databases.

3. Third-Party Services and Environmental Data

To automatically integrate weather and marine conditions into the records, the application queries external services by transmitting solely the geographic coordinates and timestamp in an anonymous format. No personal or device-identifying data is ever shared with these providers.

Environmental data is provided by, and subject to the privacy policies of, the respective services:

• Weather data provided by Apple Weather.
• Marine data provided by Open-Meteo.com.

4. Media Management (Photographs)

Media content, such as photographs captured or imported by the user within the application, are stored exclusively in the device's local memory and, if the relevant feature is enabled, synchronized via the user's personal iCloud services. The application does not perform any automated image processing (including facial or biometric recognition), nor does it upload or analyze such content on remote servers managed by the development team or third parties.

5. Absence of Advertising and Commercial Tracking

The application is ad-free and does not integrate any tracking software (trackers) for commercial, profiling, or marketing purposes. The development team guarantees that no personal or usage data will ever be transferred, alienated, or sold to third parties.

6. Data Retention, Management, and Deletion

Since the application's infrastructure does not rely on proprietary servers for storage, the user retains exclusive control over their data. To permanently delete the collected information, the user simply needs to delete the individual records within the app or uninstall the application from their device. If cloud synchronization is active, the user can remove the associated data directly from their Apple iCloud storage settings.
